Description
Solaris è un film drammatico a tema fantascientifico del 2002 diretto da Steven Soderbergh. Secondo adattamento cinematografico del celebre romanzo omonimo dello scrittore polacco Stanislaw Lem, l'opera di Soderbergh è un remake in chiave romantica e intimista del più aderente Solaris di Andrej Tarkovskij del 1972, di cui riprende ed enfatizza alcune suggestioni visive.
Lo psicanalista Chris Kelvin riceve un messaggio dalla piattaforma che ruota intorno al pianeta Solaris. Stanno accadendo cose inspiegabili. Si decide di inviarlo in missione. Trova così che a bordo ci sono state morti violente e soprattutto, che il pianeta ha la forza di materializzare proiezioni dell'inconscio umano facendo comparire persone che vivono nei ricordi. Ricompare così la moglie scomparsa anni prima e per lui sarà sempre più difficile liberarsi dalla sua presenza che sa essere non umana.
